Vice-Admiral Viscount Horatio Nelson Portrait Print, After Baxter. In a gilded frame and after the original by Lemuel Francis Abbott, first published in 1853. The coloured print depicts a half-length portrait of Horatio Nelson. He is shown in Rear-Admiral's uniform wearing the Star and Ribbon of the Bath and the Naval Gold Medal. Nelson lost his right arm in battle, to reflect this the sleeve of his right arm is pinned across his chest.
HMS Victory is just visible in the bottom left hand corner of the print. It is signed in the bottom right corner BAXTER PATENTEE.
