A fabulous looking Roman decorated large terracotta dish.
This item which dates to circa the 3rd century AD, is in fabulous allover condition.
With shallow sides and sitting on a turned base , this item is free from restoration and repair.
With wonderful decoration in the form of two large concentric circles, with four feathered arrow heads to the centre in the form of a cross ,with ring and dot symbol to each quarter ,all with in double ring of circles.
Lovely use of symbalisation and likely of Roman North African origin originally ,but as always these pieces travelled around the roman empire with families and the military.
Still retaining some ground deposits as shown in images.
Of a great size and complete with display stand as shown.
Size 26.0 CM in Dia x 3.5 CM in Height.
