A boxed Moorcroft vase in the Fiji design by Emma Bossons (one of the Dateline series designs). The design appears in the Moorcroft 1999 Giftware and Table Lamps Catalogue, Page 3.
The height is 204mm (8.03inch).
The backstamps include ©98 for the design copyright date and a Key with a double M for the teeth which is the year cypher for 2000 showing this as the actual year the vase was made. There is also the Moorcroft Design Studio symbol which was first used in 1999.
The vase is in excellent condition. (Nb The white flashes are simply reflections picked up by the camera).
The box is also in excellent condition but as the vase as not been owned from new it cannot be guaranteed to be the original box. Nb. It has been noted the lid and the body of the box have slightly different shades of dark blue.
This Moorcroft vase in the Fiji design is available online only however if visiting the Antiques Centre in York please visit Cabinet 138 which is situated on the Lower Ground Floor to view other items of Moorcroft Pottery from early vintage pieces to more modern examples.
