A vintage Moorcroft footed bowl in the Anemone design.
The diameter is 109mm and the height 53mm.
The anemone pattern was first designed by William Moorcroft in 1938 and then redrawn by Walter Moorcroft in 1975. Walter Moorcroft retired in 1987 but in 1988 he was invited to redraw the original design, and the new range was issued in 1989.
This vase has the 'Potters To The Late Queen Mary' paper label on the base, and as this label was used from 1953 to 1978 the vase can be dated to this period.
This item has been closely inspected and assessed as in excellent condition.
This vintage Moorcroft footed bowl is available by online order only however if visiting the Antiques Centre in York further pieces of Moorcroft pottery can be viewed in Cabinet 138 on the Lower Ground Floor i.e. from early vintage to more modern examples.
