A very fine quality late roman - Byzantine period bronze bowl.
This item which dates to circa 6th -7th century AD, is in fabulous allover condition.
It stands on a turned ring base ,with shallow sides with an out turned stepped rim.
With a lovely deep bronze patination and lustre ,which has been built up over many hundreds of years .
Likely used for eating, but as always the possibility to be used for offerings to the gods....
A fabulous piece which would enhance any collection.
