An elegant 1980s aquamarine and diamond cluster ring, centred with a beautiful oval-cut aquamarine, weighing an estimated 0.85ct-0.95ct, of an attractive clear pale blue colour.
The aquamarine is surrounded by a substantial halo of brilliant-cut diamonds, with a further scalloped outer border of smaller diamonds creating a wonderfully decorative, almost floral cluster. The diamonds have a combined estimated weight of approximately 0.65 carats, giving the ring plenty of sparkle while beautifully framing the cool blue aquamarine.
The diamonds are set in white gold, enhancing the brightness of the diamonds, while contrasting yellow-gold claws secure the central aquamarine. The ring is finished with a polished yellow-gold shank. The cluster measures 14mm x 12mm and is finger size P.
Dating to approximately the 1980s, this is a particularly pretty example of the traditional aquamarine and diamond cluster ring, with a generous face and excellent presence on the hand.
Unhallmarked; tested and treated as 18ct gold
