A rare piece of jewellery believed to by by the Austrian jeweller Hermann Bohm. From the hallmarks we can ascertain that the brooch is pre-1922 from the the highly collected Hermann Bohm from Vienna.
The brooch also known as an aigrette is crafted in silver and has a cluster at the top set with a central chrysophrase with a surround of garnets. Possibly the brooch was gilded originally but we have left untouched. The cluster measures 25mm in diameter and overall the brooch measures 75mm long. Weight 8.5g.
