A Small Bronze Oval Portrait Profile Plaque of Benjamin Franklin, A Founding Father of the United States of America. William Hackwood Modelled this Medallion for Josiah Wedgwood, one of the most ardent English Supporters of the American Revolution. The composition is based on a 1778 relief by the French sculptor Jean Baptiste Nini.

In excellent condition with a small mounting hole at the top of the plaque.
